Appropriate money management is a mandatory everyday competence. Until now, didactic approaches in the field of financial literacy were non-existent. This document presents a competence model, which systematises and describes the requirements of managing money. Various practical potential uses as well as programme formats are presented. Examining three good practice examples for different target groups, the document provides practical guidance including corresponding exercises and check lists for developing and conducting programmes. Strategies for a successful approach as well as advice for motivating participants round off the document.
