The country portrait in the English language gives a brief but comprehensive insight into Denmark’s further education system. It outlines the legal foundations, describes the adult education institutions and provides information on participants and personnel (incl. statistical material). The portrait is completed with explanations relating to financing, international contacts and university establishments. It also reports extensively on the most recent changes in Danish adult education after the change of government in 2001 and the closure of the Danish Research and Development Centre for Adult Education.
