Doch was sind Konflikte eigentlich?

Gewaltfrei kommunizieren
Marshall B. Rosenbergs Potenzial für Konfliktbearbeitung
Communication strategies play a significant role in the context of conflict management. From this tradition the approach of Nonviolent Communication by Marshall B. Rosenberg originates. The article recalls this approach and points out its potential for conflict management and personal growth. It particularly focuses on a sharp view on linguistic patterns for the communicative application in conflict situations, which can also be altered actively. For the visualisation of suitable patterns, Rosenberg points out the so called languages of the wolf and the giraffe.

Konflikte und Konfliktseminare
Lernmöglichkeiten für Betriebsräte
Works councils handle many conflicts. This article pursues the issue how works councils acquire knowledge and competences for dealing with various conflict settings and the significance of programmes in educational institutions for work councils. Moralische Konflikte
Eine Chance zum ethischen Lernen?
In this article the author characterizes moral conflicts, calls for argumentative solutions, and points out learning chances provided by conflict management. He refers to Toulmin‘s argumentation theory and Habermas‘ discourse ethics. Thus, educators can contribute to the success of ethical learning if their institution guarantees corresponding frame conditions.

Generationenkonflikte in Organisationen
Zum »Generationenwechsel« in der Weiterbildung
Based on the currently observable »generation change« in organizations of adult and continuing education, the text deals with conflicts between different generations and age groups, which may arise from this special situation of transition. Different forms of conflicts and tensions are outlined with regard to selected findings from studies of business and adult educational research on organizations. Above all organizations of adult and continuing education are confronted with the dilemma of continuity and innovation that cannot be dissolved, but may be of use with regard to the organization’s future viability.

Bildung in Krisenregionen

Similarly to Austria and Switzerland adult education competencies could be recognized cross-provider in Germany. Within a joint research and development project the DIE and different associations of adult and continuing education develop basics for a correspondent method for teachers. The authors focus on preceded feasibility studies and needs assessments of the DIE. These show an overwhelming approval of the target group to initiate such activities, but also see risks as well as opportunities of a provider-wide unified model for teachers in continuing education.
