Current examples, experience and challenges

This year, the DIE Forum on Continuing Education focuses again on current and future-orientated issues of adult education: The topic "Validation of Informal Learning - Current Examples, Experiences, Challenges" has its finger on the pulse of the national and European educational debate. It covers two current developments: the modelling of learning processes and the visualisation of learning results. The DIE Forum aims to intensify the debate between research and practice about the recognition of informal learning. It takes a fresh look at placing informally acquired competences in the German Qualification Frame (DQR) and connects German developments to an international perspective. Six work groups allow a view on (inter-)national validation methods, present practical approaches to the validation of informally acquired competences, and offer insights into vocational training and education counselling. Tools of informal learning can be tested in the "Market of Possibilities" The DIE Forum took place on December 7 and 8, 2015 at the University Club Bonn (Universitätsclub).
