The DIE is one of 353 German enterprises, which have been certified as a family and life friendly employer. The institute entered its third application since 2010, and has now been re-audited.
The commitment to the reconciliation of work and family as well as corporate health are part of the DIE mission statement.
Over the past 12 months, 353 employers successfully passed through the (re-) auditing process by creating a family and life friendly human resources policy. As a result, they have been the certificate "audit work and family". The audit supports employers in establishing tailor-made and beneficial solutions for the compatibility of job, family and private life and embedding the reconciliation within the corporate culture.
The commitment to the reconciliation of work and family takes up the relevant Leibniz Association principle and is a significant prerequisite for recruiting qualified employees as well as for motivated, active and successful work.
The DIE practices a sustainable, family-friendly personnel policy. It offers numerous organisational options to support a successful balance of work and family. Individual professional development with regard to the personal and family situation is particularly emphasised. Every employee is given the opportunity to organise individual professional tasks to create the best benefit for the institute without private detriment.
In 2016, the DIE will complete the next auditing process.
