Creation of Meaning

Through participation, the attendees see a space of connection and possibilities for participating actively, giving meaning to the present process. The participants who have historically been excluded from the scientific world may feel that new interests are opening up for them as they gain insights into new topics.

"[…] through dialogic learning, the meaning arises because people relate to each other, decide together what they want to learn, and what they want to research when participants by themselves decide what they want to investigate and to learn." (Puigvert, Sordé & Soler, 2000, p. 4)

"The approach of dialogic learning breaks up the structure of traditional teaching classes because the creation of meaning is distributed equally to the participants  and dissolves the notion of clearly assigned holders of knowledge and, therefore, of power." (Hussain, 2009, p. 8)
