In dem Beitrag wird anhand eines Beispiels - aus dem Projekt: Beratung zu multimedialem Lernen in kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen des Berufsfortbildungswerks des DGB Rhein- Neckar-Tauber - illustriert, dass mediengestütztes Lernen Organisationsentwicklung auslösen bzw. Organisationsentwicklungsprozesse beeinflussen kann.
Nach einer kurzen Einführung zum Verhältnis von Öffentlichkeit und betrieblicher Weiterbildung wird anhand einer Einzelfallstudie die Beziehung zwischen innerbetrieblicher Öffentlichkeit und betrieblicher Weiterbildung dargestellt. Als Grundlage wurden unterschiedliche Weiterbildungsmassnahmen in einem Betrieb aus den neuen Bundesländern in der Transformationsprozess ausgewählt. Die Aufgabe der Qualifizierung war in diesem Fall mit strukturpolitischen Aufgaben verknüpft.
