The report outlines the outcome of scientific monitoring of the educational and continuing educational counselling centre in Munich with regard to the effectiveness of counselling in the field of continuing education. Results prove the high contentment level among those seeking advice even after a longer time interval. Looking back, the respondents were still motivated to actively take their education in hand; some participate in further education.
The area of further teacher education is rarely explored in the German-speaking countries. The few existing studies primarily show one problem: The transfer of contents of further teacher education into lessons seems to be very difficult (transfer problem). Production and communication in adult- and further education research Since years questions of adult education and further education are worked on by research in Switzerland. Also the universities participate. Based on recherches it is debated, whether this research practice has lead to a creation of a social field which enables the continuity of discourse, the accumulation of knowledge, the formation of functional standards and the chances of acquiring reputation.
On the occasion of the passing of the North Rhine-Westphalian budget for 2004/2005 the author takes a close look at the Land’s support of adult education. From the viewpoint of a Catholic association he draws a dark picture of financial means continuously on the decrease that gives rise to the impression that the constitutionally guaranteed promotion of adult education is a model up for discontinuation.
Welche Rolle übernehmen Programmplanende, Fachbereichs- und Einrichtungsleitungen im gegenwärtigen digitalen Wandel der organisierten Weiterbildung? Auf der Basis von Ergebnissen der Evaluationsstudie zu einer Qualifizierungsreihe diskutieren der Autor und die Autorin deren spezifische Funktion und die Bedarfe, die sich für die zukünftige Professionalisierung abzeichnen.

(ANU) versammelten Einrichtungen und Akteure bieten Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE) und Umweltbildung unterschiedlichster Formen an. Das BMBF-geförderte und von DIE, BIBB und IES durchgeführte Projekt „Weiterbildungskataster“ hat endlich Klarheit über die Anzahl der in Deutschland existierenden Weiterbildungseinrichtungen geschaffen und ermittelte 16.841 verbürgte Weiterbildungsanbieter. In den DIE FAKTEN erläutern die Autoren darüber hinaus die wichtigsten Erkenntnisse und Zahlen zu Angebotsspektrum, Trägern, Größe der Einrichtungen sowie die Anbieterdichte in den einzelnen Bundesländern.
