Rather than formulating normative claims regarding educational processes, the aim is to empirically examine the conditions under which workplace learning takes place. The focus is on the process of needs assessment as part of program planning. Firstly, this process and the stakeholders involved are described for different types of programs. Das Thema Ökonomische (Grund-)Bildung hat in den letzten Jahren zunehmend Auftrieb erhalten und ist auch in der Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung angekommen: Mit der Integration ökonomischer Bildung in Literacy-Diskurse ist sie weiterbildungspolitisch in den Erwartungshorizont an öffentliche Daseinsvorsorge eingezogen. Das Heft führt in die Debatte um ökonomische Erwachsenenbildung ein und gibt einen Überblick über bereits bestehende Praxis in diesem Bereich.

What is covered by the copyright law? What is necessary to know in teaching contexts? These and further questions are dealt with in this book.
The author covers definitions and dissemination of »Open Educational Resources (OER)« marked by Web 2.0, particularly issues of copyright and licensing law as well as the problems of financing free material. At the same time, the potential adult education surplus value of OER is pointed out and the prerequisites of high-quality learning and teaching processes are discussed. The article concludes with an agenda for teachers aimed at the sustainability of the OER.
