Denn es werden auch Falschmeldungen verbreitet – so genannte Fake News –, und es ist nicht immer leicht, diese zu erkennen. Was kann die Erwachsenenbildung tun, um den Fake News zu begegnen? Welche Methoden und Formate sind sinnvoll?
This report provides an overview of the standards between professional and organisational logic for adult education – from the perspective of funding and continuing educational organisations, education policy and research. It also summarises various strategies for improving teaching and training, and identifies outstanding questions. It also points out the role of teaching as a construct, which largely depends on the viewer’s perspective.
Karl Benjamin Preusker (1786-1871) war ein bedeutender Vordenker und Wegbereiter des öffentlichen Bibliothekswesens in der ersten Hälfte des 19. In this article the author characterizes moral conflicts, calls for argumentative solutions, and points out learning chances provided by conflict management. He refers to Toulmin‘s argumentation theory and Habermas‘ discourse ethics. Thus, educators can contribute to the success of ethical learning if their institution guarantees corresponding frame conditions.
The author points out the cultural technique of reading and writing, which enables humans to organise the thoughts, to concentrate and activate the imagination: Thus, reading and writing are much more than the mere dissemination of information and cannot be replaced by any technology.
The report unfolds »biography« and »body« as categories for explaining holistic health education theoretically. At the same time, these terms open up adult educational opportunities, which can be defined by health educational didactics. Dimensions of knowledge and experience meet on an educational level in »biography« and »body«.
Was nahe liegt, muss nicht selbstverständlich sein. Für die Erwachsenenbildung ist keineswegs evident, was eigentlich den Erwachsenen konturiert, der sie konstituiert. Zur vertieften Klärung dieses bislang übersehenen und doch fundamentalen Themas gibt es keinen besseren Anlass als das Jubiläum zum 20-jährigen Erscheinen einer Zeitschrift, die die Bildung der Erwachsenen im Namen führt. Wie es scheint, ist die Suche nach dem Erwachsenen auch mit dieser Ausgabe nicht gänzlich erledigt.
