Die zehnte Veröffentlichung der „Weiterbildungsstatistik im Verbund“ fasst im Berichtsjahr 2011 Daten aus fünf großen Organisationen allgemeiner und politischer Weiterbildung zusammen. Für die Weiterbildungsstatik 2011 wurden Daten von 1.898 Einzeleinrichtungen ausgewertet. Diese Angaben wurden auf die insgesamt 2.218 Weiterbildungseinrichtungen im Verbund hochgerechnet. This report reflects the current place and task of adult education centres in the German educational counselling landscape. It outlines current challenges and points out activities of state associations and the federal association aimed at a higher level of professionalization and quality in the field of counselling.
In 2001 the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research arranged an information and advice centre for German adult education providers called “iMOVE“, which plans activities in foreign markets. The contribution takes a stock by making an interim statement of the work of iMOVE and it introduces the services offered.
This article reports on expert assessments of the opportunities and risks of the current DQR process from the perspective of adult education centres. The seven experts from Germany and Austria who were surveyed in the EU Transfer Project critically analyse above all the focus on formal learning. The change in orientational perspective towards towards learning results can offer an impetus for programme planning, but also requires new skills and abilities on the part of further educational staff.
