Der REPORT vermittelt einen Überblick zur wissenschaftlichen Forschung und Theoriebildung in der Erwachsenenbildung. Jedes Heft behandelt ein Schwerpunktthema und enthält einen umfangreichen Rezensionsteil.
Neben bildungspolitischen Entwicklungen, die zur Aufwertung informellen Lernens in Deutschland geführt haben, und begrifflichen Abgrenzungen werden in dieser Kurzbeschreibung die Befunde der Machbarkeitsstudie „Weiterbildungspass mit Zertifizierung informellen Lernens“ in knapper Form zusammengefasst. Daran anknüpfend werden die Empfehlungen für eine praktische Erprobung und die Handlungsfelder der an die Machbarkeitsstudie anknüpfenden Erprobungsphase ausführlich dargestellt.
Das Gutachten dient dem im Jahr 2004 vom DIE ins Leben gerufenen „Expertenkreis Lehre in der Weiterbildung“ (http://www.die-bonn.de/projekte/laufend/projekte.asp?projekteid=93) als Arbeitsgrundlage. Recognition of informal professional competencies Learning in informal and non-formal contexts has not yet gained wide-spread political and social acceptance, documentation and certification. Due to its individual and contextual situation, informal learning can be recognized via learning results only.
