Self-controlling of learning processes – a basic approach of an empirical substanciation In the first part of the contribution a heuristic systematization of the construct of the self-controlling is carried out. Then selected parts of the results of this theme are presented, taken from a representative questioning of the population concerning adult education behaviour and attitudes towards adult education.
Scientific guidance as empirical research and consultancy Scientific guidance as a self-evident component of adult education stands in area of tension of empirical research and consultancy. Didactic transition between education and working life This article examines the orientation of vocational training towards “learning areas” in the context of the larger thematic topic of “occupation and education”. The pivotal question around which the whole topic revolves is whether and in what ways the concept of “learning areas” can contribute to a constructive change in the dialectic between education and occupation. The following report focuses on the issue of recording the impact of learning in adult and continuing education. It depicts the complexity of empirical-analytical impact and sensitizes for a differentiated access of adult educational research, based on the demand for evidence-based practice and education policy, which increases the pressure to conduct research on valid data on the impact of educational activities. This is substantiated, inter alia, due to the complex topic and the particulariti…
