Die Validierung non-formal und informell erworbener Kompetenzen ist schon lange Gegenstand einer Debatte, die stark von Impulsen europäischer Akteure lebt und in Deutschland besonders in der beruflichen Bildung aufgegriffen wurde. Das Heft fragt, ob und inwiefern Kompetenzvalidierung ein Thema der Erwachsenenbildung sein sollte. Wenn die Anerkennung von Kompetenzen als Empowerment erfolgt, können von Validierung auch und gerade Geflüchtete profitieren.
