Teachers’ knowledge about teaching methods is an important facet of adult education teachers’ pedagogical/psychological knowledge (PPK). The authors examine whether and how this knowledge is correlated with the educational background and the teaching experience of N?=?212 adult education teachers. Der Anlaß dieser Beiträge ist die Diskrepanz zwischen zunehmender Relevanz von Wissen in der Gesellschaft und der marginalen Rolle, die die Diskussion über Wissen als Lehrgegenstand in der Erwachsenenbildung einnimmt.
Welche praktischen Probleme ergeben sich bei der Anwendung der Lebensweltorientierung in der Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung – und welche Deutungsmöglichkeiten bietet die Literatur? Hierzu beleuchtet der Autor zentrale Passagen eines Originaltextes der phänomenologischen Soziologie zur »Lebenswelt« (Schütz & Luckmann, 1975) sowie ihrer Rezeption durch einen Protagonisten der Erwachsenenbildungsforschung (Wittpoth, 2014).
