This report provides an overview of the standards between professional and organisational logic for adult education – from the perspective of funding and continuing educational organisations, education policy and research. It also summarises various strategies for improving teaching and training, and identifies outstanding questions. It also points out the role of teaching as a construct, which largely depends on the viewer’s perspective.
From 2002 on the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will be sponsoring 80 regional networks in the context of the „Learning Regions – promotion of networks“ programme. This programme will be scientifically monitored by a consortium formed by the German Institute of Adult Education (DIE), the German Institute of Economic Research (DIW), and the universities of Duisburg and Munich. Die beiden Bände zum Thema Multimedia sind im Rahmen des Projektes "Pädagogische Innovation mit Multimedia in der Erwachsenenbildung", das vom Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft, Forschung und Technologie (BMBF) gefördert wurde, entstanden. Inhalt des zweiten Bandes ist: - Positionen zu den Anforderungen an die Organisationen von Erwachsenenbildung - Beiträge zum Lernen mit Multimedia - Projektbeispiele aus der Praxis - Fortbildungsmodule Multimedia.
Marion Seevers ist Leiterin der Referatsgruppe Weiterbildung und außerschulische Berufsbildung beim Senator für Wissenschaft und Bildung in Bremen. Das Gespräch mit ihr und dem stellvertretende Direktor des DIE Klaus Meisel moderiert Dr. Peter Brandt. Marion Seevers sieht eine Mitverantwortung der öffentlichen Hand, wenn es darum geht, Qualität in der Weiterbildung zu sichern, und plädiert für länderübergreifende Qualitätsstandards.
Adult Education is rarely associated with genuine research methods. But recently a number of innovative methodical approaches have emerged which have been implemented in adult education. Often these empirical approaches are interconnected and therefore will be in the focus of our attention. This edition of REPORT will present and evaluate these innovative research methods in adult education.
