Die Autorin fasst die Ergebnisse eines Seminars zusammen, das das European Advisory Commitee on Statistical Information in the Economic and Social Spheres, kurz CEIES, im Juni 2001 veranstaltete. Produzenten und Nutzer von Statistiken aus vielen Ländern und Organisationen der Welt diskutierten Definitionen und Klassifikationen, aktuelle Probleme und zukünftige Bedarfe.
