Der Beitrag schildert die schlechten Rahmenbedingungen für eine an aufklärerischen Zielen, wie Solidarität und Empathie, festhaltende politische Erwachsenenbildung. Ausser der Entwertung in der Politik ist sie demnach zunehmend von¤den Bezugswissenschaften - Politikdidaktik und Erwachsenenbildungswissenschaft - isoliert.
