Analysing the Course of Processes in Counselling – A Desideratum Reasoning and Development of a Research Design Different processes of counselling have been a non-studied field of research in adult education so far. It is necessary for the professionalization of counselling to close this research gap by an empirical basic work, because the need for counselling is increasing. Working biographies today do not last for life. The author describes the concepts of labour entrepreneur as a new type of labour which means that employees put their competence to the market. Characteristics of the labour entrepreneur is responsibilityfor the organisation and the marketing of one’s own competence. This article is devoted to workplace learning. Rather than formulating normative claims regarding educational processes, the aim is to empirically examine the conditions under which workplace learning takes place.
