The report unfolds »biography« and »body« as categories for explaining holistic health education theoretically. At the same time, these terms open up adult educational opportunities, which can be defined by health educational didactics. Die Beiträge in diesem Heft beziehen sich nicht nur auf Organisationen der Weiterbildung. Organisationslernen ist überall erforderlich und möglich. Thematisiert werden u. a. der Organisationsbegriff, Lernprozesse in Organisationen, Organisationsziele und Organisationsberatung.
Was nahe liegt, muss nicht selbstverständlich sein. Für die Erwachsenenbildung ist keineswegs evident, was eigentlich den Erwachsenen konturiert, der sie konstituiert. Zur vertieften Klärung dieses bislang übersehenen und doch fundamentalen Themas gibt es keinen besseren Anlass als das Jubiläum zum 20-jährigen Erscheinen einer Zeitschrift, die die Bildung der Erwachsenen im Namen führt. Wie es scheint, ist die Suche nach dem Erwachsenen auch mit dieser Ausgabe nicht gänzlich erledigt.
Dieser Band verbindet die Forschung im Feld der Alphabetisierung mit der Erwachsenenbil-dungsforschung. This article describes the benefits and forms of forgetting from a neuropsychological perspective. By the same token, Peter Gassner shows that forgetting is not only something negative, but rather that it is even a constitutive factor in people's learning abilities. Adult education specialists will find valuable suggestions in the article on how learners can counteract undesirable forms of forgetting, i.e. forgetfulness.
