Angesichts der raschen Veränderungsprozesse in Unternehmen durch andauernde Umgestaltungen der Betriebs- und Arbeitsorganisation wird der betrieblichen Weiterbildung wachsende Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet. Die Entwicklung geht einher mit der Veränderung der Ausgestaltung betrieblicher Weiterbildung. Diese Tendenzen werden in den Beiträgen zu diesem REPORT näher beleuchtet.
Auf der Basis von Angaben nahezu aller Volkshochschulen enthält die Statistik nach Bundesländern differenzierte Tabellen von Summen oder Verteilungen zu Personal, Finanzierung, Kursveranstaltungen, Studienfahrten, Studienreisen und Ausstellungen für das jeweilige Kalenderjahr. Die Kursveranstaltungen sind nach einem detaillierten System von Stoff- und Fachgebieten aufgeschlüsselt.
Die jährliche Volkshochschul-Statistik gilt als die reichhaltigste Einzelstatistik für einen Trägerbereich in der Weiterbildung. Sie bietet nach Bundesländern differenzierte Tabellen von Summen oder Verteilungen zu Personal, Finanzierung, Kurs- und Einzelveranstaltungen, Studienfahrten und -reisen, Ausstellungen.
