Similar to the literary cafés there is the model of “philosophical cafés”. It first came into being in France in 1992 by M. Sautet. By now it is also recited by adult education. It is based on the statement “All people are philosophers“ and it animates a daily routine of philosophical discussions. With the example of the theme “joy“, the author sketches his experiences as a manager of such a café.

Wie kann in der Erwachsenenbildung die Unsicherheit der Zukunft und der Umgang damit fassbar und vermittelt werden? Das Konzept der Futures Literacy – übersetzbar als »Zukünftebildung« – bietet hierzu Antworten. Die Autor*innen Angelika Neudecker und Stefan Bergheim beschreiben diese in sechs Teilkompetenzen, die in jedem Menschen als Grundform der Zukünftebildung verankert sind und durch Zukünftelabore gezielt gefördert werden können.
Die hochqualifizierten Vertreterinnen und Vertreter der Generation Y, die nun in Entscheidungspositionen vorrücken und zunehmend den Bedarf an Bildungsangeboten mitbestimmen werden, haben spezifische Erwartungen in Bezug auf die Nachhaltigkeit von Bildungsangeboten und -einrichtungen. This article adopts the PISA study’s staged competence model in the area of football. The authors specify five levels of competency in football literacy to serve as the basis for an adult education curriculum. The motivation for the study is the staging of the World Cup in a country which was the loser in the PISA study: Germany. The general public should be knowledgeable at least when it comes to football.
The article describes reasons, targets, elements and areas of applications of the concept of gender democratic didactics in adult education. The author investigates prepositions and consequences to pedagogical acting, methodical structuring and basic conditions of educational processes.
