Transnationale Kooperationen bringen eine besondere Komponente in die Zusammenarbeit – die unterschiedliche Verfasstheit der beteiligten Einrichtungen und der Systeme, aus denen sie stammen, und den unterschiedlich geprägten Blick auf das gemeinsame Arbeitsfeld. Anhand einer Studie zu Erasmus+-geförderten Kooperationen in der Erwachsenenbildung arbeitet der Autor die Vorteile solcher Kooperationen heraus.
Seit 2020 fördert das Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales (BMAS ) Modellprojekte zu Verbundlösungen im Bereich der beruflichen Weiterbildung. So soll der Blick über die eigene Unternehmensgrenze hinaus unterstützt und die Weiterbildungsbeteiligung erhöht werden. In zehn Thesen lotet der Autor das Verhältnis von Wissenschaft und Praxis der Erwachsenenbildung aus. Beide Bereiche sind an vielen Stellen eng miteinander verwoben, ihr Verhältnis aber ist komplex und nicht friktionsfrei.
