Die Corona-Pandemie stellte für Weiterbildungsanbieter einen starken Einschnitt dar und erforderte erhebliche Anpassungsleistungen an die veränderten Rahmenbedingungen, um die Krise zu überstehen. Auf Basis der wbmonitor-Umfragen 2020 und 2021 beschreiben die Autoren die wirtschaftliche Situation verschiedener Anbietertypen und deren spezifischen Herausforderungen.
Ist gerade die Digitalisierung eine Herausforderung, zu deren Bewältigung sich Kooperationen anbieten? Ja, sagen die Autorin und der Autor – und zeigen die Chancen, aber auch die Schwierigkeiten auf, die Kooperationen in der Digitalisierung mit sich bringen.

Die Studie „Benefits of Lifelong Learning“ (BeLL) wurde zwischen 2011 und 2014 in zehn Europäischen Ländern durchgeführt und am Deutschen Institut für Erwachsenenbildung – Leibniz-Zentrum für Lebenslanges Lernen e.V. This article presents results of a field study exploring why illiterates start relearning reading and writing at a later age. The project SYLBE focused on reasons and obstacles of participants in basic education classes. The study provides a typology of motivations for learning and thus supports the professional acting of teaching staff in basic education.
