Digitale Weiterbildungsformate werden für in der Weiterbildung unterrepräsentierte Zielgruppen kontrovers diskutiert. In der Corona-Pandemie jedoch haben Weiterbildungsanbieter auch für diese besonderen Zielgruppen auf digitale Weiterbildungsformate umgestellt. Die gesammelten Erfahrungen und daraus resultierenden Strategien der beruflichen Weiterbildungsanbieter sowie Chancen und Risiken nahm das Projekt FORWARD in den Blick.
Mit ihrer Reform zum »Kontinuierlichen Lernen« hat die finnische Regierung Instrumente zur weitreichenden Anerkennung non-formal erworbener Kompetenzen geschaffen. Der Autor schildert die Entwicklungen zum kompetenzbasierten Lernen in der finnischen Erwachsenenbildung und gibt einen Einblick in Voraussetzungen und Vorteile dieser Anerkennungspraxis.
Welche Möglichkeiten bietet die Kompetenzorientierung im Bereich Alphabetisierung und Grundbildung? Wie weit ist die Kompetenzorientierung in den verschiedenen Grundbildungsbereichen fortgeschritten? Die großen Fortschritte in der Computertechnik vereinfachen nicht nur das Sammeln und Verarbeiten großer Datenmengen, sie ermöglichen auch neue Lehr-/Lernformen in der Bildung. Vor allem in der industriellen Aus- und Weiterbildung kann das Training mit Augmented-Reality-Technologie und Wearables große Vorteile bringen. Der Autor zeigt Anwendungsbeispiele solcher Technologien auf, die aus dem WEKIT-Forschungsprojekt stammen.

Cartoons are media of political and cultural education. By exaggeration they point out existing problems, asking for action and solutions. In this article some cartoons are presented as examples, dealing with the problem of illiteracy and the task of reading, followed by an interpretation regarding the pedagogical impact. The role of cartoons in an educational context is valued, more research on the topic is proposed.
Hans Georg Rosenstein describes the objectives and priorities of the renewed European Agenda for Adult Learning, which was adopted by the European Council in 2011. Both, the role of the European Commission are analyzed as well as the tools and budget for the agenda’s implementation. The article concludes with a critical classification of »Erasmus for all«, the new EU-programme for general and vocational education.
