Warum nehmen Erwachsene an Veranstaltungen der allgemeinen Bildung teil? Wie verlaufen Vermittlung und Aneignungsprozesse in der gegenwärtigen Bildungspraxis? Was bedeutet dies für die Aufgabenbestimmung und Definition von Erwachsenenbildung? Diesen Fragen wird in der qualitativen Studie auf der Basis von Interaktionsprotokollen aus über 20 Kursen der sozio-kulturellen Erwachsenenbildung nachgegangen. After the federal elections, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research has taken on a new organisational structure. For the first time, its activities in further education are now bundled together in a seperate department (»Lifelong Learning, Further Education«), thus enabling the ministry to »speak with one voice«. On top of this, the superior department is »University, Further Education«, which shows that the two are considered as equivalent from the organisationalpolitical viewpoint.
How to relate Natural Sciences to Adult Education Drawing on an intensive debate on the improvement of scientific literacy going on in Germany for more than ten years, this article deals with possible contributions of adult education. Starting with the marginal supply of science courses for adults, I focus on typical didactical arrangements and concepts.
