Treier stellt das Projekt „RAG Online-Learning“ in Essen (ehemals Ruhrkohle AG) vor, das vor allem auf Grund einer kontinuierlich durchgeführten Evaluation von allgemeinem Interesse ist. Die Potenziale von E-Learning sind derzeit in der Diskussion. Vielfältige Studien haben in den letzten Jahren zu unterschiedlichen Bewertungen geführt. Mit dem hier vorliegenden Überblick über ausgewählte Studien zum Themenfeld „E-Learning“ von 2001 bis Anfang 2003 wird ein Service zur Verfügung gestellt, der die Orientierung erleichtern soll. Die zentralen Ergebnisse einiger Studien werden ausführlich dokumentiert. Links und weiterführende Hinweise erleichtern die weiterführende Recherche.
Zum Einsatz Neuer Medien in der Weiterbildung liegen inzwischen empirische Erfahrungen vor, die hier gebündelt werden. Die Lage präsentiert sich differenzierter und diffiziler als noch vor wenigen Jahren angenommen.
