Die Validierung von non-formal und informell erworbener Kompetenzen wird zur Zeit breit diskutiert, zumeist aber unter dem Blickwinkel der beruflichen Weiterbildung. Die Autorin plädiert dafür, Validierung auch zu einem Thema der allgemeinen Erwachsenenbildung zu machen. Denn: Im Sinne einer Chancenermöglichung kann Validierung dazu beitragen, Teilhabe zu ermöglichen – ein erklärtes Ziel der Erwachsenenbildung.
