This paper deals with a new approach in the promotion of literacy, which focuses on social integration. This approach has been inspired by a concept of adult education aiming at integration and by social work oriented to the life world of the addressees. These concepts are being adapted to the work with functionally illiterate persons. Older people often lack the competences for the handling of digital media. This is problematic in a society which is more and more based on digital exchanges. Courses of continuing digital education for older people prove to be successful when they are embedded into their living environments. In this article, the author presents several of these educational formats.
Berichte über Kurse und Arbeitsmaterial für Kurse sowie Planungshilfen und Forschungsberichte (Überblicke, Monographien, Handlungsperspektiven), themenorientierte Dokumentationen, kommentierte Arbeitsplananalysen, Arbeitsberichte des Instituts, Problemaufrisse und didaktische Modelle standen im Mittelpunkt dieser Reihe. Sie wurde durch die 1995 neu erschienen „DIE Analysen für Erwachsenenbildung“ abgelöst.
