The article provides an insight of the opportunities and challenges of analysing spatial aspects in continuing education including the various concepts of spatial references. Regional continuing education characteristics are presented based on initial findings of the German Continuing Education Atlas.
Intergenerational learning can be considered as a chance for institutions of adult education. Family education is at the crossroads of adult education and social work. This article outlines the resulting conflict situations as well as the opportunities, which arise as a consequence of the mutual complement of both fields to a compatible system of family work.
