„Learn habitus“ has its roots in the concept of habitus by the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. According to Bourdieu the „habitus“ is represented in the whole of all signs of life, i.e. the daily routine, job, clothes, behaviour, taste, value judgement, in which a person is bedded and which has become the person’s second nature. Neu starten, Routinen aufbrechen, das Alte hinter sich lassen – für viele eine sehnsuchtsvolle Vorstellung. Gleichzeitig wandelt sich die Welt so beharrlich, dass auch Routine und Kontinuität erstrebenswert scheinen. In der Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung findet sich beides: Erneuerung und Bewahrung. Der Neustart von weiter bilden lässt uns auf das Wechselspiel von Kontinuität und Wandel schauen.
Popular education is a term which has been used for a considerable time. At the outset, however, it should be pointed out that there are multiple perspectives, but they do not “speak” much to each other. There is a tendency to define popular education in narrow and formulaic terms, according to which tradition one is drawing on. I counter this by discussing four traditions and attempt to distil common features across the multiplicity.

The learning movement of a social movement beginning in 1957. 18 German nuclear physicists signed a declaration in 1957 in which they refused to take part in the production, testing and use of nuclear weapons.
