Augustinus als Dialog angelegter Text „De magistro“ unterscheidet und differenziert das menschliche Lernen, indem dargestellt wird, dass Worte nur Zeichen sind. Die das Lernen anregende Wirksamkeit des Lehrens gründet demnach weniger in den Worten als in der Beziehung zwischen Lehrer und Schüler. Damit ist „De magistro“ die erste ausdrücklich dem Lehren und Lehrersein gewidmeten Monographie der abendländischen Geistesgeschichte.
Both, the women's movement around 1900 as well as the feminist awakening since the late 1960s were closely connected to educational issues. This article highlights the similarities and differences of both movements with regard to education. According to the author, education is a political issue for both movements. She identifies educational processes in feminist contexts as »specific borderline experiences« with still ongoing disputes.
This article examines learning at the university, which is located in the institutional context of the university with its structural conditions. The analysis of learning at universities opens research perspectives, to which the adult education science can deliver substantial contributions.
The article focuses on the significance of social media for informal learning. Based on the potential of online communities, online networks, blogs, wikis etc. for informal learning, the utilization for learning is critically discussed and examined differentially. Possible consequences for adult education, which result from new informal learning opportunities on the internet, are also taken into account.
