1999 wurde die "Fachtagung Qualitätssicherung in der Weiterbildung - Projekte, Positionen, Perspektiven" durchgeführt, um die Ergebnisse verschiedener Projekte zur Qualitätsentwicklung in der Weiterbildung zu erörtern. In vier Foren diskutierten Fachleute aus Politik, Wissenschaft und Praxis zu den Themen Evaluation, Qualitätsmanagement, Angebotsqualität und Qualitätssicherung. Neben den dabei gehaltenen Referaten dokumentiert der vorliegende Band auch die Abschlussdiskussion der Tagung.
When crediting non-university previous achievements in higher education courses, the term “professional competence” is often used. However, the results of the 2014 “AnHoSt study” and the 2016 “Anrechnungsmonitor” show that the crediting procedures at German HEIs have so far mainly related to formal qualifications, but not to competences acquired in non-formal or informal learning contexts. The main emphasis of this article is on how to deal with value conflicts in teaching/learning situations in adult and continuing education against the backdrop of current social challenges. Based on the description and interpretation of a case study from an integration course, the author suggests possibilities of how to prepare teachers for acting in a pedagogically appropriate and ethical manner.

Ein Blick auf die Begriffsgeschichte von Lust, Spaß und Freude offenbart Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten der Bedeutungen. Der Autor verdeutlicht, dass die Lust und der Spaß am Lernen sinnvoll sein können, Freude aber wichtiger für pädagogische Überlegungen ist, weil sie nicht kurzlebig ist, sondern existenziellen Charakter hat – und auch Krisen- und Leiderfahrungen integrieren kann.
