The first generation of people with professorships started work in the 1970s.They were scientifically exploring and at the same time working practically aligned. Their educational scientific basic approach to work was taken up by the succeeding generations of scientists, developed further and extended by new topics. The futher alteration of generations lets us await a prosperous development of the panel that is open towards the future.
Can the benefit derived from a course in further education be measured? Which methodological considerations are to be taken into account? It must be defined first of all which indicators are supposed to indicate the benefit. Evaluators and stakeholders must agree on set points. Data have to be collected using the methods of qualitative as well as quantitative research. Under evaluation aspects, anecdotic evidence has no value. Die Arbeit präsentiert auf der Basis qualitativer Interviews mit ungarischen und deutschen ErwachsenenbildnerInnen die Erfolge und Fehlschläge der jüngeren Kooperation zwischen den beiden Ländern. Über zehn Jahre nach der "Wende" würdigt sie die engagierte Aufbauarbeit des IIZ-DVV in Ungarn und erörtert mögliche Zukunftsszenarien der Zusammenarbeit.

Angesichts der raschen Veränderungsprozesse in Unternehmen durch andauernde Umgestaltungen der Betriebs- und Arbeitsorganisation wird der betrieblichen Weiterbildung wachsende Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet.
