Im Mai 2025 wurde Karin Prien (CDU ) zur Bundesministerin für das neu gegründete Ministerium für Bildung, Forschung, Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend ernannt. Erstmals vereint ein Bundesministerium alle Bildungsetappen von der frühen Kindheit bis ins Alter und ermöglicht so eine durchgängige Perspektive auf lebenslanges Lernen. The author investigates whether, to which extent and due to which motivation migrants participate in general further education programmes of the City-Volkshochschule (adult education school) of Berlin. Results: The ethnic composition of the city district is not mirrored in that of the course participants.
