Theories of Adult Education On the basis of three selected contributions, the adult pedagogical theory discussion which began in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s will be explored. Vorgestellt werden Entwicklungslinien und Charakteristika der aktuellen Jugendsubkulturen in Deutschland. Anstatt des früher beherrschenden Appell-Verhaltens der Jugendlichen, haben sie heute ein stärkeres Ausdrucksverhalten enwickelt. Bestimmend sind demnach heute, das Prinzip der Bricolage (Levi Strauss), der zerstreute Blick und situationsgebundene Ausdrucksformen.
Ausgehend von einer skeptischen Einschätzung der zukünftigen Entwicklung der Chancengleichheit im Weiterbildungsbereich plädiert der Autor in Anlehnung an einen Gedanken von Friedrich Edding aus dem Jahr 1988, einen Bundesrahmenordnung zur beruflichen Weiterbildung für eine Neuordnung der Lernchancen zu schaffen. Dafür werden die Themenfelder skizziert.
