The Grundtvig project European Intercultural Competence Programmes (EICP) conducted at the DIE tests further education measures for administrative bodies that involve intercultural competence, not just as far as staff development is concerned, but also in terms of organisation development. The concept is based on the idea of civilian dialogue and addresses heads of administration as well as representatives of migrants’ organisations.

The English text gives an overview of the ESNAL project (European Service Network for Adult Learning). This explores the current discussion relating to quality assurance in the domain of further education in the individual EU countries.
The "Red Series" provides quick access and initial orientation regarding the characteristics and features of continuing education in the individual countries. The volumes combine country-specific data and information on a scientific basis. A comprehensive service section facilitates further enquiries. On this base, continuing educators from research, practice and administration are able to prepare coopertion activities.
The staff in adult and continuing education is the most important factor for a high quality and demand-oriented development of training courses and their effective implementation. This article presents the programme “Football for development”, which like the other ASA programmes of InWEnt allows young adults to take part in development policy educational work in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Southeast Europe for three months.
