Ausgehend von dem gesellschaftlichen Befund eines zunehmend entstrukturierten Lebenslaufs wird in dem Beitrag der Bedarf nach einer (erwerbs)biographischen Gestaltungs- und Steuerungskompetenz betont, die auch neue Bildungs- und Beratungsleistungen notwendig machen.
In dem Beitrag wird begründet, dass das Einbeziehen von nichtbewussten Lernformen - implizites Wissen - in institutionalisierten Lernprozesse eine sinnvolle Ergänzung zum bewussten Lernen darstellt.
Der Beitrag untersucht wie erwachsenenpädagogische Ansätze der Beratung in einer Beratungssendung mit dem Schwerpunkt Lebenshilfe im Fernsehen aufgegriffen werden und interpretiert diese massenmedialen Angebote mit Begriffen der Erwachsenenpädagogik kritisch.
