Der Alltag von Älteren wird zum Lerngegenstand und Bildung wird zur Alltagsbewältigung, so lautet die These der Autorin. Auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen wird die Individualisierung und das Älterwerden diskutiert.
Der Länderbericht informiert über die aktuelle Situation der Erwachsenenbildung in Griechenland. Er enthält einen historischen Überblick, eine Darstellung des gesellschaftspolitischen Kontexts und zeigt die charakteristischen Strukturen des griechischen Weiterbildungssystems auf. Weiterführende Literatur, ein Glossar mit speziellen griechischen Fachausdrücken und eine Adressenliste ergänzen den Bericht.
Bildung im Alter zielt auf Orientierung und erweiterte Handlungsspielräume sowie auf Vernetzung in der realen und digitalen Welt – um den Herausforderungen und Chancen beim Älterwerden positiv begegnen zu können. Als erfolgversprechend erweist sich der Ansatz, dass das Bildungspersonal in Einrichtungen der Erwachsenenbildung als Lern- und Engagementbegleitung engagierte Digitalpat*innen weiterbildet und in deren Praxis fachlich unterstützt.
