Ekkhard Nuissl, Professor für Erwachsenenbildung an der Universität Marburg und Direktor des DIE, spricht mit Dr. Angela Franz-Balsen über die Notwendigkeit von Supportstrukturen und über die konkreten Supportleistungen, die das DIE erbringt. Resistance against education and learning as a result of pedagogical and didactic acting: The article reports two research projects in adult education at the University of Kaiserslautern focussing identity-relevant and emotional aspects of learning resistance. While both aspects are rather neglected in the research on education and learning they are substantial for the understanding of learning resistance phenomena as well as for the reconstruction of the own pedagogical practice.

Dr. Walter Hollstein ist Professor für politische Soziologie in Berlin und einer der frühen (soziologisch orientierten) Begründer der Diskussion um die „Männerfrage“. Er spricht über den Veränderungsdruck auf Männer und die notwendigen Voraussetzungen für Geschlechterdemokratie. Für ihn hat die Forschung zu Männern in Deutschland noch gar nicht richtig begonnen.
Die Deutschlehrerinnen Evelyn Krings und Michaela Visosky sowie der Lehrgangsleiter Christian Rietschel arbeiten an der VHS Rüsselsheim. Sie berichten über ihre Erfahrungen in einem vom Arbeitsamt finanzierten Qualifizierungslehrgang zur Berufsorientierung für anerkannte Asylanten und Migranten.
