Dargestellt werden die Ergebnisse einer kleinen empirischen Untersuchung, die den Rahmen und die Inhalte von Vernetzungen von Weiterbildungseinrichtungen in der Region Bergisches Land kritisch überprüft hat. Danach gibt es zwar Kooperationen - bilaterale Beziehungen, aber von Vernetzung der Weiterbildung - mit einem politischen Gestaltungswillen - kann kaum gesprochen werden.
Oscar Olsson war einer der treibenden Kräfte beim Aufbau von Study Circle in Schweden Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts. Diese richteten sich an die ärmere Landbevölkerung und Arbeiter. Historisch waren die Study Circle eng mit den Prinzipien der „Popular Education“ in sozialen Bewegungen, insbesondere der Arbeiterbewegung, verbunden.
Implementing network type structures has become a widely appreciated strategy to promote actor-relationships in the field of adult and community education and to coordinate them purposefully. However, there is still a lack of knowledge on how a “successful” coordination of actor-relationships can be practically achieved. This paper offers some clues to answering the question by outlining basic characteristics of social networks and then giving reference to a recent case study from Germany.
The article summarizes the results of a case study in which two further education courses at universities are comparatively analyzed. It is examined how the knowledge transfer is linked to the governance of the courses. It can be shown that there is instrumental knowledge transfer in connection with managerial governance in the one study course whereas the other study course is distinguished by reflexive knowledge transfer and academic self-governance.

Nach einer kritischen Einführung zur behaupteten Krise politischer Bildung werden anhand eines Interviews mit einem Leiter von Arbeit und Leben Veränderungen in diesem Bildungsbereich vorgestellt. Daraus werden Perspektiven politischer Bildung bei korporativ-pluralen Anbietern entwickelt.
