This article presents the results of an empirical research project in which participants in continuing education and employees were surveyed about their learning times. The survey indicated that (1) continuing education is co-financed on a large scale through the devotion of private time. (2) Individuals show flexibility and commitment in creating their own learning and continuing education times. (3) Times can no longer be clearly assigned to “learning” and “working” even from a subjective poi…
The authors take the model of reproduction contexts, which has been developed by Josef Schrader in order to systematize the adult education sector, as a point of departure to discuss the possibilities of its empirical transfer. In Retrospect: On the Conception of REPORT and its Development A conversation with the founding editors The reason for this interview is REPORT’s 30-year existence. Thus, the time has come to once again recall the events and experiences in its long history. In 1978, the “Literature and Research Report Continuing Education” was published for the first time and was essentially a review journal created to give an overview of the still widely scattered and developing discipline of adult and con…
