The article examines the development in demand for the independently creative area of cultural adult education. It also focuses on stakeholders and developments of a new conceptual meaning. The authors particularly call the gender role for independently creative programmes into question and develop hypotheses to explain the dominant proportion of women.
The study Competencies in Later Life (CiLL) provides, for the first time, information about central basic competencies of older adults. In doing so, two research approaches are combined.
