Diese Ausgabe des REPORT vereint Aufsätze verschiedener Projekte zum Themenumfeld und diskutiert u. a. neue Steuerungs- und Organisationsentwicklungskonzepte, die von den Einrichtungen einen Anpassungsprozess fordern.
Im Motto »Reisen bildet« trifft eine pädagogische Binsenweisheit auf einen Slogan der Tourismusindustrie. In unserem Sommerheft fragen wir genauer nach: Unter welchen Bedingungen hat eine Reise ein bildendes Potenzial? Welche Kompetenzen lassen sich auf Reisen erwerben? Es spricht einiges dafür, dass gerade das individuelle Reisen neben der organisierten Bildungsreise ein Potenzial hat, das unter den Vorzeichen des lebenslangen Lernens eine vertiefte Betrachtung verdient.
Als „DIE spezial“ werden in lockerer Folge – durchschnittlich ein Band jährlich –Veröffentlichungen profiliert, die für die Weiterbildungslandschaft grundlegend und nachhaltig sind. Die hier publizierten Inhalte sind für alle Akteure der Weiterbildungslandschaft wichtig, entspringen oft empirischen und renommierten Forschungsvorhaben und lassen besondere handlungsleitende oder steuerungsrelevante Wirkungen erwarten.
Im Mai 2025 wurde Karin Prien (CDU ) zur Bundesministerin für das neu gegründete Ministerium für Bildung, Forschung, Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend ernannt. Erstmals vereint ein Bundesministerium alle Bildungsetappen von der frühen Kindheit bis ins Alter und ermöglicht so eine durchgängige Perspektive auf lebenslanges Lernen. Über ihre Pläne und deren Bedeutung für die Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung sprachen mit ihr die Herausgeber Prof. Dr. Josef Schrader und Dr. Peter Brandt.
