The author bridges the gap between culture and education by dealing with two sides of the coin. He initially observes a currently active interest in culture. Cultural education is a generally accepted objective in the field of cultural policy. By using a historical outline, the author illustrates this attribution to a lack of visions in cultural policies. Beneficiaries are institutions for cultural education as well as classical institutions for adult education such as adult education centres. …
The author comments on his essay’s title which should refer to a „human being“ rather than to a „migrant“. With examples drawn from literature, theatre and real life he underpins his theory of an increasing malfunction of language as a means of communication. Finally, he reflects on cultural identity and a (German) concept of integration into a target culture.

Scientific journalism is shown to be relevant in three different ways: the information it conveys may simply be useful, or it may constitute a relevant aspect of our culture, or it may play its par t in decisionmaking. Finally, the author sums up the tasks and gives characteristics of good scientific journal…

Entgrenzte Teiln…
Intercultural education accepts the “otherness“ in multicultural and multireligious societies. It struggles against discrimination and seeks equality. Migrants and native people are both target groups of intercultural education. The article discusses educational questions in the German context with regard to different nationality, culture, religion and mother tongue. “Intracultural” education is necessary to strengthen personal and social identity; intercultural education can initiate dialogue …
