Der dritte Infobrief des DIE-Projekts "@alpha: Innovative Ansätze in der Grundbildung durch medienbasierte Zugänge" widmet sich zwei großen Themenblöcken. Zum einen enthält er eine Analyse und Zusammenfassung der Erfahrungsberichte, die die Kursleiter/innen über den Einsatz neuer Medien in der Grundbildungsarbeit im Projektverlauf angefertigt hatten. Zum anderen werden exemplarisch einige Behörden und Einrichtungen in den USA vorgestellt, die im Bereich Grundbildung aktiv sind.

The rigid division between the three subsystems of continuing vocational training in Germany (continuing vocational training for employees, continuing vocational training for the unemployed, individual continuing vocational training) hinders the implementation of an integrated labour market and qualification policy. As a result an effective and efficient use of the financial means for training (combination of financing resources) is not possible.

How can virtual spaces, digital media and its potential be utilised for cultural education programmes? The authors analyse the issue by looking at three good practice examples from adult education centres and point out the contributive effect of a reasonable and elaborate use of digital tools in cultural education for the participants’ digital education.
