Diese Diskussion wird auch auf die Weiterbildungsberatung zukommen. Da der Diskurs um Nutzenarten von Beratung hierzulande noch ganz am Anfang steht, hat sich Bernd Käpplinger in Großbritannien umgesehen und von dort Anregungen geholt, die er in die Skizzierung von Nutzendimensionen von Weiterbildungsberatung einfließen lässt.
The concept of self-optimisation is closely linked to discourses on lifelong learning and has been discussed in adult education research for some time. The talk about selfoptimisation is mostly articulated as a critique or critical analysis, appears as almost self-evident and thus gets caught up in the pull of normalisation. The article deals with the importance of decision-making processes referring to professional practices in career counseling and continuing counseling. Based on an empirical analysis of specific details the process of counseling is being illustrated. Parts of this analysis are the counseling interviews that were selected and provided by the consultant him- or herself.
