Dieser Vortragstext entstand im Rahmen der Konferenz: "Eine Zukunft für Frauen und Männer", im November 1997. Er thematisiert die gesellschaftliche Zuweisung privat/weiblich und öffentlich/männlich und das Potential politischer Bildung dieses Schema zugunsten einer anderen Öffentlichkeit zu verändern.
Der Text gibt den von Susanne Weismann auf der Tagung "Eine Zukunft für Frauen und Männer", im November 1997 gehaltenen Vortrag wieder. Im Vordergrund stehen dabei subjektive Erfahrungen und Eindrücke im Zusammenhang mit der Geschichte der Frauenbewegung.
