Copyright matters are tricky. To know and deal with questions regarding copyright with expertise will protect you and your educational institution from legal complications and claims of third parties. What is copyright all about? What is covered by the copyright law? What is necessary to know in teaching contexts? These and further questions are dealt with in this book.
The contribution summarizes occasion, assignment, object, procedure and results of the evaluation of the North Rhine-Westphalian law of adult education. Thereby it also includes following statements of clients an association. Going out from this it tries to find answers to general questions concerning the evaluation of adult education laws. For the question of objectivity of analyses and results the disclosure of the targets and the independence of researcher teams are vital.
The author covers definitions and dissemination of »Open Educational Resources (OER)« marked by Web 2.0, particularly issues of copyright and licensing law as well as the problems of financing free material. At the same time, the potential adult education surplus value of OER is pointed out and the prerequisites of high-quality learning and teaching processes are discussed. The article concludes with an agenda for teachers aimed at the sustainability of the OER.
