The report focuses on the significance of the term “educational justice” from a socio-ethical perspective based on current political debates. The concepts of equal opportunities, participation and achievements are relevant in the intricate discourse on education and justice. Emil Adolph Roßmäßler kann als erster freier Dozent der Erwachsenenbildung gelten. Anfang der 1860er Jahre war er Mitgründer des Leipziger Arbeiterbildungsvereins und ein entschiedener Kritiker Ferdinand Lassalles. Für ihn war die Natur der Schlüssel von Emanzipation. Politisch-kulturell vermisste E. A. Roßmäßler insbesondere einen in der Selbstachtung begründeten Freiheitsbegriff in Deutschland.
Der Report 31 will auf einige Forschungslücken zum Umgang mit der Geschichte in der Erwachsenenbildung hinweisen.
